Introduction

Most of us know Zaid Hamid from his Wakeup Pakistan? campaign, started to make us aware of the dangers we face today. While some of us agree with Zaid Hamid some consider him an extremist with an agenda of destruction.

Zaid Hamid is mainly pointing at Indian, US, Israeli agencies playing role behind the suicide bombings in Pakistan. There are activists in USA telling us about the involvement of CIA in 9/11 attacks and making people believe in the war on terror through main stream media.

Zaid Hamid's Message

If you analyze the wake up Pakistan? campaign, the following messages can be clearly identified.

1. Zaid Hamid idealize Allama Muhammad Iqbal (RA) as his role model and that Allama Iqbal was very blessed and close to Allah (SWT) through the Sufi teachings.
2. Zaid warns India and threat them to be taken over by Pakistan if India does not stop its aggressive policies to hurt Pakistan. However Zaid Hamid is convinced that India will not stop the aggression and it will end in a war India will start and Pakistan will finish.
3. Zaid Hamid talks about a prophecy made by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (SWS) that Muslims will take over India again (this prophecy is not about the Mughal rule over India).
4. Zaid Hamid when questioned at several occasions by the students that what they need to do immediately to help their country. Responded that "people need to be aware and prepared for this situation of WAR, also that they should share information using modern technologies and stand United.
5. He talks about this information war and the way extremist in other parts of the world are not only working themselves on their agenda but effecting others and making them do the same. To fight this information war, Zaid promotes Pakistani Bloggers and other Social Media mentors to work with him.

Zaid Hamid Critics

Following main critics are being made about Zaid Hamid by Pakistani mainstream media and some groups of civil society.

1. He is promoting conspiracy theories?.
2. He is promoting hatred and he is an extremist.
3. He is using the name of Islam to mobilize masses for his own agenda, which is not a good one.
4. He is involved in some conspiracies and murder of one of leading Mufti from Karachi.
5. He has relation with someone called Yousuf who is accused of announcing himself as a prophet.

Most of the Muslims believe that Imam Mehdi (AS) will appear before the end of the world to wage the final war. So there are some people saying that Zaid Hamid is just trying to manipulate the need of a leader this country needs and by getting into power he wants to wage a nuclear war against India, Israel and USA.
