Introduction

I read a few articles online recently in which our own Pakistanis were claiming that Islam and Science have parted ways and that is a reason of us being left behind in the world today. The thoughts such as that Islam is unfit for 21st century, or following Islam makes you a fundamentalist. Something is for sure lacking in Muslims, not Islam and that is exactly what I am about to share with you!

Islam Teachings about Learning & Knowledge

Islam teaches us to learn at any cost, and the life is actually all about learning throughout our lives.

More also there are tons of scientific proofs and information in Quran which were exposed 1400 years before when there was no concept and origin of modern day science.

In the initial centuries of Islam, the Muslim Ummah was the most modern and advanced group. The center of the knowledge was in Iraq, which was burnt down by Changeez Khan later on. All the modern day techniques of warfare, water irrigation system, biology, chemistry and much more were introduced by Muslim scholars and scientists.

What happened then?

Islam is the same, as it was when it was brought to us by the Holy Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), the rules are the same, and everything, and it is applicable as well until the world will last. Its a stupid assumption that Islam is left behind science or something.

Ever since the decline of Muslim empire, the fault goes to humans, not Islam, who moved away from the religion and got involved in worldly desires. They did not spent time and energy to educate their youngsters, instead they were more busy in other things.

And then the time came of occupation, when British ruled India for over a 1000 years and the Muslims were pushed away from education and were not getting the education. So we were pushed back deliberately.

We are moving away from Islam

Later on when we got independence and our true leader Quaid-e-Azam left us. We were again in hands of traitors who worked on foreign agendas and gave a sub standard or you can say multiple standard education system to Pakistan.

A very important role is played by the hardliners in Islam, who made it difficult for the normal people to accept their agenda of Islam. Hence pushing general people away from the Islamic culture and people adopted a mix of cultures, something from Islam, some from Hindus and some from West.

Islam tells us to learn and spread the knowledge

Islam never stops us from learning, educating or participating in the modern sciences, in fact Islam orders us to learn and also teach others. Tells us that if we share knowledge, our knowledge will be increased and no one can get away with our knowledge.

Keith L. Moore is Dr. Professor Emeritus, Department of Anatomy and Cell Biology, University of Toronto. Distinguished embryologist and the author of several medical textbooks, including Clinically Oriented Anatomy (3rd Edition) and The Developing Human (5th Edition, with T.V.N. Persaud). He is also a former President of the Canadian Association of Anatomists, and of the American Association of Clinical Anatomists. More also he has earned several awards of excellence throughout his career.

From his profession it is obvious that he possess latest information mankind has with regards to human reproduction process. Dr. Moore was asked to conduct a research to find evidence from Quran and Sunnah Rasool Allah (SWS) to find out what evidence does Islam provide about reproduction.

There are many other scientists who have done their detailed research on Quran and found out that the evidence about their specific expertize is present in Quran. 1400 years ago, everything was told, before even the science was known to the humans. Why? Because when our generation come, we should not get lost the display of modern science and loose faith in our religion. And another reason is that Allah (SWT) told us to learn and study nature and science. That is the reason HE told us way before what is coming next.

Why are we left behind?

We are left behind because of bad leaders, poor governance, no or little planning, injustice, and so many other elements like above. We are not left behind in the world because of our religion Islam. In my opinion we are not even left behind, we have faith, they don't. More also gaining in materialistic sense is not all you can gain in this world, you can also gain happiness of Allah (SWT) and join HIS beloved in heaven.

Pakistan has all types of professionals

It's just that we are a third world country, with poorest governance, bad economy, and a lot of enemies within us and outside. That is the reason we are not able to grow as other countries are. And if you look deeply we have all types of professionals in Muslims/Pakistan. Top notch doctors, engineers, pilots, IT experts, and what not? I know many Pakistani Muslim professionals working on key positions in USA and other developed parts of the world. Why didn't Islam kept them behind as well?

Don't accuse Islam, accuse humans

The conclusion is that we have no rights to accuse our holy religion, which is perfect and complete. There is nothing outside the domain of Islam, the whole universe is within it and science is a small part of it.

The Mullas who are not educated about Islam nor Science are giving a bad examples to general people.

Who is spreading such thoughts within us?

There are new religions coming up in 21st century, such as Scientology who are considering there is no God out there and humans evolved naturally as per the scientific evidence they are able to understand. I just have a small question, does the scientists understand everything about the world? I bet they don't even have a complete count of living organisms in the world, in fact science is continually evolving itself and nothing is perfect or sure. Every year new things come up. So if the west is so proud of the science they know today, why it can't be perfect, why the research is going on and on and it seems that it will never end.

Conclusion

So my dear brother and sisters, stick with your religion, pay tribute to Allah (SWT) and Rasool Allah (SWS) and his Family (SWS), Sahaba Ikram (RA), Sufia and Aulia Ikram (AS) who brought us the message of Allah (SWT). So please reject all such thoughts that Islam is outdated or not modern and either we have to modify Islam or (tobah) change our religion! These thoughts are propagated by the enemies of Islam and we are very sure that people are not going to leave their religion but they will reject such insane recommendations about Islam.
